Private Residence
Lake Geneva, WI

Showcased in Inland Architect Magazine, 1992

Square Footage: 3,388
Completion Date: 1991

Originally, this neat lake vacation home was a boat house and small cottage. The existing structure was demolished down to the base level of concrete and stone. Rising from this base is a three-level lakefront villa. A service wall wraps around and offers privacy from the cluster of cottages to the east. Being so close to the waterfront, the design draws some of its inspiration from boats. The curved bay of windows at the lake front are reminiscent of a filled sail. The tight stucco skin and gentle arcs of the two roofs play upon the theme of a boat's hull.
