At its completion, this center served as the only gathering place for the east Aurora residents. Set in a 17-acre park, the center offers both a recreation facility and a public library branch, surrounded by a landscaped courtyard and commons area suitable for concerts, picnics or art shows. Other amenities include multi-purpose rooms, youth activity rooms, arts and crafts rooms and a larger room to be leased for functions. Recreational components include basketball courts, track, and rooms dedicated to exercise equipment, aerobics, dance and martial arts. The white wood trellises, railings and banners exude the feel of an early 1900’s pavilion.
